Entering your calories manually will always be better
I got tired of the other calorie counters out there. You try to scan a barcode and it gives you the wrong item or it’s not in their system so you can’t actually track what you just ate. The interfaces were buggy and very non user friendly. Not to mention that they bug you constantly to pay for some premium bull or shove ads in your face. Trying to manually add calories in those apps, were always a nightmare. From entering every single nutritional label that you come across, or the app just not letting you enter your own calories without going through a list of their foods.
With this one, I can just look at the calorie info on something and enter it in. No fats or other annoying information is needed in order for you to track something.
CANNOT CORRECT MISTAKES
This is a fairly simple calorie counter, which is all most people need, but when entering information it doesn’t allow you to correct any errors. So, you end up with the wrong calorie count for that entry for that day. I started using the app today and messed up the first entry, so I’m stuck with it for ever. I’m using the free version to decide if I want to buy the app for $9.99, but the paid version isn’t going to let me fix (delete) any entry errors either, so why buy it. Last updated 2 years ago so nothing will be improved, as far as I can tell. It will let you log both calories consumed and calories burned, if you can figure out how to do it properly. It also lets you enter food names and calories you use regularly and you can enter the exercises you do with calories they burn. I’ll keep trying to enter the information correctly and see if I can figure it out. 3 stars for this basic app.
EASY. Love it!
This is exactly what I was looking for. I hate having to look up food every time I want to track it, like on other apps. It’s really time-consuming, and half the time the correct item isn’t in the system, and I have to take time to create a whole new item. I always look at the calorie count before I eat something, so I already know what the count is. I just want help keeping track of the number I’ve eaten throughout the day. And this app does that! Type in the number of calories you’ve just eaten, and press a button- boom, you’re done. You don’t have to scroll through 45 food items to find the one you’re looking for. I love it. This is definitely my new calorie counting app.
