Excellent pedagogical framework

As a teacher I know how to teach and learn. I know when I see good pedagogy and I see it here. These online lessons have been surprisingly simple to follow and my retention of the material is very good. Having Jonathan and Michelle guide us through the lesson and using the various modalities to enhance lesson goals such as writing in Japanese and taking quizzes has been an effective means to retaining and extrapolating from a foundational knowledge base. Plus it is super fun! Thank you to NHK for the free education, I look forward to visiting Japan when the pandemic is over.

The audio it has is really nice, and the teaching is great. I like how there’s that American guy(I think lol) in it he honestly kinda helps and his commentary is useful. But I kind of wish that the audio just kept playing into the next episode… but overall its super worth it! I enjoy the story like and the little situations!

It’s a great app for those who are just beginning in Japanese it’s fun and easy to listen too, the podcasts feel like a talk radio show and you always walk away learning one new phrase or even grammar tips when writing in hiragana or katakana
