simple

there is the simple renamer in finder, (OSX Yosemite) you right click and select "rename __ files" This app pretty much does the same, but this app has more limitations.
However in finder you have the option to do sequential numbers, you can append numbers for your sequence, and change the order of where certain text are placed.

The app doesnt let you do it. you can only find a “text” and replace said “text” with what you choose.
I limit my review based on that.

Keep coding. Im sure with time the app can include other features. Great job for a free app, thats for sure. :)

Works as intended. Perfectly

Mind you that the reviewer who said the program messed up his Finder probably was using “.” characters in his pattern matching which would if not used only at the end of the search and replace terms likely screw many files over hundreds of files by changing what the Finder thinks the file type is. DON’T USE period in your matches unless you are adding to the end of a file name some kind of designator for yourself so you know where the files originated or some other scheme in which case the search term would be “." and the replace term would be “NewFileNameEnding.” Careful to leave the . on the end and NOWHERE else….

Worked like a charm for me both renaming (A* - > B*), eliminating part of (A* -> *), and adding to the end of file names (*. -> *B) for hundreds of files. No messed Finder!

Saved me an enormous amount of time…

Quick, easy, really free with no annoying adds or begs

This worked perfectly for me. My only initial confusion at first was that it told me some file names did not get changed, and didn't say why. I easily discovered the reason was because the way I specified the change would have resulted in duplicate file names, so as an enhancement suggestion, maybe you would want to specify that in a future version.

Overall, was a perfect solution for me. Thank you for a great product and making it free to use!
