Description

Measure the world!

"Great app. Fun and easy to use!"
EasyMeasure® shows the distance to objects seen through the camera lens of your iPhone or iPad. Simply aim your iPhone/iPad to any object in your surroundings, and EasyMeasure displays the distance towards that object on top of the camera image. With its amazing 3D camera overlay grid, using EasyMeasure is very intuitive and easy!

Find out how far it is towards that boat at the other side of the lake. Measure how tall buildings are. Use the app as a golf-aid. Measure your friend's height. The possibilities are endless!

How does it work? EasyMeasure uses the height of the camera lens (determined automatically by AR if your device supports that) and its tilt angle to calculate the distance to the object. A comprehensive animated tutorial on how to use EasyMeasure is included.

SUPER EASY! AND ACCURATE!

I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and it keeps getting better (even tho I didn’t think that was possible!) I use it in volunteer work with the Red Cross in measuring locations to figure out how many clients we can shelter, feed, evac etc.... So much easier than using a tape and we have discovered it is REALLY accurate! Everyone wanted to use my phone when we are doing shelter surveys, but now we all have the app!

Instructions are vague and confusing!

I have tried to use this app for years, and I don’t get it!! It says to line up the baseline with the base of the line of the wall base. What is a baseline? I see a square with a bunch of arrows that move around on my screen. What am I supposed to be aiming at what? In the video it shows somebody standing with a phone at their eye level pointing down to the floor in the corner. But when I do that and only says my 22 foot room is only 6 feet long. What am I supposed to be aiming at? And what about the 2 feet distance behind me? How do you in that? If you put the phone against the wall you can’t push the stupid photo button! And you can’t see the screen to see your measurement because the phone is against the wall!

I try and measure my room with my phone at my nose, aiming at the floor, or the base of the wall, or the middle of the wall, or the ceiling in the wall, and I get somewhere between 19 feet and 23 feet, when I move backwards a couple of feet to try and get as close to the wall behind me, it says it’s now 16 feet. I watch the videos, I try to use this thing for years, and this thing is all over the place. Yes I calibrated it! Yes I said the lens height is 52. Yes I said the lens height is 6’2”. Yes I said the lens height is 6 feet. Yes I sent the lens height is 5 feet. Nothing I do no matter where I am it makes any sense? Don’t waste your blood pressure!

Do not ???

While trying to measure the gutters length around my house. I thought this would be a safe way to do this on the ground aka no ladder and bulking tape measure issue. This is what apps like this are meant for , if I am inside a tape measure is easier.
While trying to get a accurate reading and FIGHT WITH ADS POPPING UP blocking from using the app as intended I tripped and fell . I know it’s my fault for being clumsy but I was frustrated from the ads ! Developers need too make money and I think if they decided to just state in a better format. If they had had a pop up at the beginning use of the that stated watch these 5 ads in a row and be able to use the app for 5 minutes ad free . I think they would make more money of the ads . There needs to ad out letting us know we are all idiots who spent 1000’s dollars for a Apple device to watch ads at every turn !!!!
The other issue was the measurements did not give the accuracy I needed to buy the product for my gutters the 1st time so I had to reorder more but at least I didn’t upgrade this app I would have felt worse than the embarrassing than the sore ankle issue.
I am still waiting on technology to make my life easier
