So simple, yet so perfect!

I love this app. My doctor thinks I might have gestational diabetes and this app helps me know when to eat and when to take my blood sugar. I used this app even before being pregnant as it helped me to eat 6 small meals/ snacks a day by reminding me when it was time to eat and keeping me accountable. It’s also really helpful to know how your body responds after so many hours of fasting etc.

Kinda useless other than for keeping a record of when you ate.

The time interval between meals setting is very limited-only can choose 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 hr intervals; what if you want 6 or 3.5? It rates every breakfast as “poor” or “not achieved” because of the many hrs in between dinner and breakfast and the rating is based on their predetermined ideal 3hr interval between meals (which I, and most people, don’t prescribe to) but what the heck, the app expects you to get up in the middle of your sleep to eat every few hrs at that same interval even through the night? Everything is limited, from number of meals a day choice to how often you’re notified (the min setting is 3 hrs after last meal, but I don’t need to be notified every 3 hrs that I haven’t eaten, let alone every 30 min or 10 min). And the charts are all pretty useless and only show in military time even if you deselect the 24hr time mode. I wish it had graphs that showed over time what times I was eating my breakfast lunch or dinner.

Like the concept…just not quite there.

Been trying four of these side by side. This one has the best baked in metrics (trends) by far. However the meal tracking capture needs some more configuration. You need to be able to explicitly set the number of eating events you are targeting for the day. You can sorta manage that by meal intervals + notification window but that is not fool proof.

Also the reminder notifications are just a set cadence of x minutes, which I suppose should be something that your meal interval is divisible by to get them to line up? Again, wish reminders were more explicit and centered around defined meal events.

In some ways I like this app the best, but these types of configuration options are critical for usability. This sadly may be the first one to go in my test. 🙁
