About our guides:

We make great, interactive travel guides.
To make our guides we use the content that is freely available. Open content sites like Wikitravel, Wikipedia, World66 and Openstreetmap are among the best resources for any traveler. Our mission is to make that content relevant for you. So we mix and mash and annotate - and we distill great, relevant travel guides out of it.

We like open content. In fact some of us were involved in World66, one of the first open content travel guides on the web. Our travel guides are very much a re-mix of open content out there.

Currently we're using content from: Wikipedia, Wikitravel, World66, Open Streetmaps, DMOZ and Chefmoz

We're big fans of these projects. If you stumble across some inaccurate information in this guide, we would appreciate it if you correct it on the web site of these projects.

Ecuador Triposo App Review

Really appreciated this app while on a recent trip to Ecuador. Only wish I could have added some new sites I found along the way so others could explore them too.

Pointless unless you haven’t researched on your own

This app just lists limited WikiTravel information off the internet on the various locations. For things to see, it almost exclusively lists links to tours with prices. There are no pictures or listings of the top sites in a particular location.

There are a few words in the local language and (copied from the internet) info on how to get there, basic history. If you are traveling to a place you’ve never researched, there might be a little new info. Yes, the app makes info available offline but why not just look up where you’re traveling ahead of time? Or in your hotel at night? There is really too little here to be much help.

Also, it wants us to upload another app - and that message comes up every time this app is opened - with no option to dismiss that message so that it doesn’t reappear each time. Annoying.

Easy, reliable and accurate!

My husband and I relied on this app essentially as our international travel planner… Worked like a charm.
