Eden is a fun game to play when your bored, but it needs some upgrades to make the game a little but more fun. One upgrade that would be cool is if you build a car and get in it, then the car would actually move. And you could steer the car with tilting the screen. And when your done riding in it, them jump and you can walk again. Another cool improvement is if you can fly, cause in this game you can't jump that high. Another good improvement would be changing the color of the red animals skin. Because the rest of the animals skin color you can change, but not the red ones. And the last cool thing that would be fun to have on this game is fake people or real people. Like if someone else happens to be playing in the same world as you, then you should be able to see them and chat with them. And fake people, if no one is playing the same world as you, then fake people driving cars or inside of buildings can be great. This game was in a fine state for years. While it didn’t try and compete with any other games it was fun to just come back and play every once in a while to look back on the worlds I made when I was younger. A new update was released recently which added a texture pack feature, a nice addition but also bizarrely removed and adjusted some features leading to old worlds looking incredibly ugly. First, all creatures that were previously placed in a world appear to have been wiped from existence. This removed years of work I put into my worlds that heavily used creatures to act as important characters or civilians in a world. Secondly, the lighting system in this game has changed massively. All lights now have a massively extended range making everything incredibly bright. This is especially problematic as the “dark sky” mode always had such an amazing atmosphere with the dim lights of the old version. The lighting changes appear to be more like a bug though as when looking at the point cubes you can clearly see the model is broken. Finally and least importantly, the buttons on screen at all times appear to have been changed in some way that they are harder to hit now. I think the resolution of the game has changed or something. If the developers read these reviews, I would beg of them to revert this update. If that isn’t possible, please, fix the lighting so every world that has lights doesn’t look like the middle of a city.

For 8 years I’ve played this game so much after 2.0 came out. Shortly after 2.0 came 2.1 which was the last update for 8 years. In 2.1, those 8 years got me so used to the control hitboxes, the fast loading, smooth gameplay, and the creatures. Throughout the years I kept improving on building and having fun. Soon, I began to make my own mini games like flappy batty, and many more. Over the years, I got so used to the controls, and made my own mini games that kept getting better. I made games like a random game where you walk through a library, Box Dog, My Husky Roxy, and Evil Angela. This made Eden - world builder practically my own game engine. I continued to make more and more games, or even giant structures! When I tried Eden - new dawn, it felt slow and laggy, so I decided to stick with the old Eden. However, when 2.2 came out, I saw that the icon changed. I looked on the App Store and saw the update. Once I opened the app, it was like Eden - new dawn. The game never felt the same. At least I can use the classic textures, but the things that slowed me down at gameplay include the fact that the jump button is moved slightly to the left, the loading is slower and there’s more lag. Before 2.2 I predicted an update that would add tons of new blocks, creatures, and even multiplayer. I always wanted an update to the game that would add lots of new features similar to 1.5 or 2.0 did. But 2.2 means that building my massive structures will take forever. Maybe it would’ve been better if the game never got updated from 2.1, I don’t know if I regret wanting an update to this game but 2.2 makes the game unplayable.

This game is great if you have the patients make big buildings, and city's, and really anything. There are a lot of blocks to choose from, and colors... But, there are some things that could make this even greater... It would be really cool if for the colors... There would just be a huge color wheel, with every color, and then it would save your previous 5 colors you used so you wouldn't have to take a long time in trying to find the right color again... Then, I have been finding situations where I'm trying to make (let's just say) a bathroom, and I try to make a shower, but it doesn't really look like one... So, I thought it would be cool if you could draw on the blocks, Like in animal crossing when making clothes... You select a block background (whether it's wood, ice, or a plain block), then you can select you "pencil" size and color, and draw on it... So you could make a shampoo bottle, or soap or a basketball... That way things can be more personalized... Then I think everyone who plays this game would love if you actually put in the 3 different sized block, and half blocks... I know that these features were either not released or taken out, but I would personally like them... Then, I have come into times where I'm trying to make something, let's just say a high top table... Then I realize, I can't... Because the "person" we are playing as is only 2 blocks high... So I think it would be cool if we were 3 blocks high instead, And we could jump 1 block, and double jump 2 blocks... This brings me into my last suggestion... I think it would be so amazing if we could switch camera toggles so we could actually see our character (or not... Which ever you prefer) and then personalize out characters face, body and clothes...
