Edison helps you to take on your goals hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month, quarter by quarter, and year by year.

Goal setting is stressful and overwhelming. How often you achieve a planned goal? Research says 92% of people don't achieve their goal. Are we incapable? Not at all!! but we are not capable enough to think of a big goal and start working towards it immediately. What we need is a tool to properly divide the goal into many levels of subgoals so that we have a small piece of a task every day which directs us to the right path.

How does the Edison calendar work?
Consider you want to achieve something this year.
1. Break the goal into 4 subgoals and assign it to 4 quarters
2. Break quarter's goal into 3 subgoals and assign it to 3 months
3. Break month's goal into 4 subgoals and assign it to weeks
4. Break week's goal into 7 subgoals and assign it to days

This app has so much potential... and almost lives up to it!!

So let me just say, I really like this app. It has already been super useful with helping me manage all of the projects I need to accomplish between now and when I move across the country for college. My favorite features are the color coding options and the way that the app helps you break down goals into smaller chunks.

However, I do have a couple suggestions for how this app could be even better. First, it would be really nice if the goals/tasks were automatically organized according to color. When I look at the weekly list, for example, my goals for the week are all just randomly ordered; they aren’t even organized by when I entered the goals into the app. Second, I like the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly options this app has... but it would be AMAZING if there was some kind of custom option! For instance, I am leaving for college in July. It’s currently May. Ideally, I would set goals for the months of May, June, and July. However, my only option is to set a quarterly goal for April, May, and June and then extend it with a monthly goal for July. It works but it isn’t great.

All that aside, this app is a no-nonsense, get-your-life-together calendar. It is minimalistic, intuitive, and effective. I would recommend it to anyone who has a task-oriented personality.

Most practical organisation app I have come across

Love the way this app breaks bigger goals down into manageable chunks. Extremely helpful for those who tend to procrastinate because the task seems so overwhelming. Additionally, the choice between daily, weekly, monthly, yearly goals is a wonderful idea, could be improved by being able to set custom timelines. Also, would be cool if we could add a widget for this app on the home screen

Thanks for your review! We are already working on those features.

yall, this app is great so far. i love the layout very much but it's too limiting. i try to use it for school but it only has 2 reminders you can set. it's more useful in scheduling to have notifications / reminders on each task that you list so that you can get a notif when you need to do something. but the app doesn't do that. also, you cant freely alter the times fo each task. it's a thing where you have to drag end and beginning times and it won't let you stop it on certain times for some reason. it's easy to do it like this rather than enter the time, but we should be able to drag it on any time we need. lastly, when i watched a video discovering the app, it told about how you can make a goal and make subgoals that you can easily make for each day and while that feature is useful, another useful feature would be the option to make a single task and copy that same exact task to any day you want, like how you can copy cards on trello to different lists.
