Obviously this app has a “Pro” in app purchase (and it’s pretty expensive compared to other email apps on the App Store). But what does the “Pro” purchase include? What features do I get by purchasing “Pro”? Nowhere in the app description can I find what features are included with the in app purchase. I’m not going to continue using this app and adding more of my accounts to it as I know I’m going to get stuck one day missing out on features that I need. They don’t specify anywhere what features are included with a Pro purchase or what features in the App Store description are not included with the free version.

I’m pretty new to boomerang but I already consider it a vital tool to keep on top of communcations and tasks. Im psyched to see a mobile app with so many features, and so far it seems pretty good. Two things struck me though right off the bat; first, retrieving email seems to be a little slow. Second, the interface isn’t intuitive; the swiping motions are exactly the opposite of what make sense. On regular iOS mail, swiping left archives a message, while on boomerang, swiping right is for archive. And swiping left brings up a menu of options, which is cool, but not necessarily the options I would expect, and interacting with that interface is a little tricky. It’s very easy to accidentally archive something or do some other action because the app requires constant touch instead of a swipe-then-touch interface. I’d like to see an option to reverse the controls so that the boomerang menu came up on right swipe instead of left, and an option for swipe-then-tap instead of keeping it all in one motion. Otherwise this is a promising app and I look forward to integrating it in to my routine.

I’ve taken a break from Outlook to try things out with Boomerang since it’s the hot new thing right now. I’ve installed a boomerang add-on to my gmail and it works perfectly. I think it’s a cool feature on any email platform. But the email app... meh. Great interface and nice features. It’s good to look at but I’ve struggled with basic functions like: receiving my emails in a timely fashion or getting notified when said email finally comes in. A lot of the time I’d have to go into the app to refresh before discovering that I’ve missed several messages. Believe me, I’ve toyed with all the notification settings both on the app and on my phone to make sure that everything is turned on. There are no settings to control the frequency in which the app fetches. What good is having the bells and whistles if it cannot do the basic things you need it to do.So... Outlook and I have worked things out. It is just a more reliable app. While not as attractive as Boomerang- Outlook is a better fit for my very basic needs.

Has been my absolute favorite e-mail app so, I am sad to have to leave it. I would have no problem paying for this app, but 20$ a month is a no go for me. Especially with everything going on. I cannot tell you how many email apps I have used over the years, and finding this one was a breath of fresh air. I am thankful they worked so hard to make such a wonderful email app that works seamlessly, and doesn’t crash. But, sadly, $20 per month, is an exorbitant amount. I am sure there are people who can and will pay that, but darn it…I just can’t. I’m sure the yearly is a ‘better deal’, but most of us don’t have nearly $200 just laying around for an app that loads your emails - even if it does it very well. I sincerely hope they create a version without all the extra features one day. Because honestly, I don’t use fancy features. I just wanted one that worked well, and had a good lay out! And it does! And, no, I’m not whining about having to pay now — I’m just extremely disappointed!
