Review of Emerg Beacon
I saw this in a BSA magazine. Downloaded, but would not work entirely. I emailed Nick with the problem and he responded within a day or two. In my experience, app developers seem resistant to respond. Nick said it was a new problem and he was working on a fix. Soon thereafter, he emailed me to say the fix was awaiting approval. Again, soon thereafter, I get an update from Apple...fix was in and works as advertised! I had just updated fix when I received an email from Nick advising update available. This Eagle Scout was punctual and thorough. I will be looking for future apps from him! Sorry so long with this, but I was taken-aback by such diligence.
Good to have
I hope that I never have to use this app, but the peace of mind I get from just having it on my phone is incredible. Also useful to send my location to others when they ask where I am.
Misread the app as emergency bacon when I first downloaded it but totally happy for the mis-read. Well worth the download.
Used it to help friends find where I was during an outdoor festival. Accurate and links directly to google maps! Very useful.
