Take note of your mood and clarify your thoughts with your own journal full of emoji! Select an emoji which feels like you feel, then jot down anything you’re thinking about. When you record your emotion in the moment, you can better reflect on how you handle different situations. With Emojion Journal, pair your emotions with your thoughts.
Emojion Journal is baked with insights from psychological studies and learnings from experts in the field of self-refinement (my term for self-help and self-improvement because who doesn’t want to be suave, chic, and refined?). We have enough trouble remembering what we did yesterday, what about how you felt while doing whatever it was you can’t remember? It’s near impossible!
Habitual, but not addicting:
Emojion is designed for you to quickly jump in, note your feelings, and get back to your day. There is a lot of great stuff in here, but it’s all meant to help keep you focused. Emojion is not a distraction from your day, but an outlet for spontaneous insights, venting anger, and making sense of life.
Your thoughts are yours alone. Emojion Premium* displays no ads, does not sync to “the cloud”, and logs zero tracking information. Emojion Premium does not connect to the internet in any way. All features are designed around this core principle.
- Calendar to easily look back at your thoughts
- Timeline of the emotions you feel the strongest during the day
- History of emotions and journal entries over time
- Word cloud of your most used words from journal entries
- Reminders to record your thoughts throughout the day (if you so choose)
- Customizable emoji colors to best suite your style
- Export journals to a pdf for offline backup or iCloud Drive storage
- Quotes to provoke deeper thought and contemplation

PS: The jury is still out on the pronunciation of Emojion. Hundreds of years ago the ancient people of the world pronounced it like the word “emotion”. But in recent years these funny little yellow smiley faces showed up, and things got all turned around. “Emoji-ON” is quite intense and sounds like a superhero’s catch phrase, or maybe a character in a card game. The great internet masters of phonetics at the dictionary from the city have settled on emo-jee-un. I like that too.

Bottom Half Cut Off
Just downloaded the new update. Seems like you won’t be able to see the bottom half of some longer entries and even if you scroll down comfortably, you still have to scroll WAY up to really see through the bottom.
Been using this app for over a year now and I loved the additional emojis the last time it updated. I wish there still is MORE to choose from 😁
Anyway you rock and keep it up! 🤘🏼
Developer Response ,
Thanks for the feedback! The problem should now be fixed and you can see the entire journal entry again. I’ll also explore adding even more emojis 😁
Honestly, my expectations of this app were pretty low considering I've used a bunch of journal apps over the years and never really stuck with one. This app is different. I love love, love, love the widget because it makes it so easy to add an emoji showing how you feel and then it prompts you to add a note either now or later. That's really been the main thing that helped me to stick with this app. I don't feel the pressure to have to add a note now. I can always come back and add it later. Only thing is the mood you select on the widget changes to happy when you select the option to create a note now. That seems to be a bug I hope is fixed soon.
I love it!
I love it! I tried two other apps like this as well but this is positively the best one! I’ve tried a bunch of real diaries in my 9 years of living but I always forget about them! But with this one I just feel more comfortable expressing all of my feelings (because I have a lot) so this app was really good for me. And you should know how brutally honest third graders can be so you can trust me this is a good app! The only thing is I wish that there was more emotions to chose from and you could chose multiple emotions as well. Otherwise I totally recommend you to get this app.
