Does the job - a few bugs

At least in Mac OS Ventura there are a few bugs. The preview needs to be toggled on and off to see when ever you make a change. In order to print and not drop characters I have to select "Open in Preview" and print from Preview. And a few other little oddities. It would also be nice if we could select a heavier font, the one used is a bit light. But you can make it work and it has the basics. I have used EasyEnvelopes for years but it quit working at all with Ventura.

Exactly what you need to just print envelopes

I have terrible handwriting and even if I didn't, sometimes for the sake of looking professional you just don't want to hand write an address on an envelope. Nor do you want to futz around with the settings in Word or other word processors.

This app meets that need perfectly and is simple and straightforward to use. I was a huge fan of Easy Envelope by Ambrosia Software, and used that app for years in my legal practice. Unfortunately, that app hasn't been updated in years. EnvelopeMagic has been the perfect replacement for my basic addressing needs and I highly recommend.

2022 Manual address entry required; no access to contact list

It prints an envelope address that you type in by hand. It has no feature to access your contact list. That nearly makes it useless software - mainly because the "contact" app has this same print ability and you don't have to manually type in the name and address again.

Another gripe - it does not generate a mailing barcode. Therefore, the post office must manually sort the mail when you drop it in the box.

As the developer pointed out, this software is free. I would gladly pay a decent price for software that would access my contacts database and print with a zipcode barcode.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for trying the app; I’m sorry it doesn’t have the features you need. However it is a free app so it’s hardly fair to suggest you wasted any money on it.
