EOBD Facile : OBD car scanner 4+

This is one of the few programs that connected well with my dongle. It was easy to use to get diagnostic codes, and allowed me to repair my vehicle at a fraction of the cost of taking it in for diagnosis.

Four stars because the Mac application sometimes crashes when first started. This is a minor issue as it works most of the time with a simple restart of the app.

Can’t judge this program without having to purchase it. It will not let you access or even preview most of its functions without purchasing it first. That would be all well and good if there was a refund option built in if you weren’t satisfied with the program after paying for it. Developers are micromanaging feature preview too much for the preview to be inciteful as to the functional abilities of the software.

If that's all you want to do is see error codes, then this is worth the price. It gives you a great display of the most-likely candidates.

But...if you want to do anything else, you will struggle. You will struggle trying to figure out how to get the graphs to work. You will struggle trying to plot one value on the left axis and one value on the right axis. And then when you do they will still have inappropriate and arbitrary Y scaling. You will struggle opening and closing the app again just to get a clean X axis. You will struggle trying to enter your correct transmission gearing and then when you do, it will tell you you haven't. You will struggle trying to get the dashboard to work.

But to clear out error codes, you really should investigate this. I DO recommend it for that.
