EP-01 4+

What the flip? Trying to connect to an iPhone or iPad 4 mini to Epever MPPT 3210an.
I open the app, select ble, find and open in list, select and it states connected. Go back to main screen select Read and message comes up “connection failed”
Looks like a good app if I can it to connect.

I have two Tracer-BP solar chargers, two MT-50 displays, two eBox-WIFI modules, and a BLE module.

This app will ONLY work with the BLE module, the Wifi is broken and fails immediately - it does not even try connecting.

Functionality wise this app is really poor. You can “read” and “write” basic configuration to the Tracer-BP but nothing is real time - it doesn’t display the live info automatically or do anything itself, like you get with the MT-50.

You need to request a “refresh” each time you want to see the the current info, which takes a VERY long time over BLE - it is likely requesting every single parameter sequentially, rather than asking for only the current info displayed on the status screen, or requesting “all current status info at once” which would be far more sensible and faster.

It really only provides absolute bare bones basic functionality and is a poor substitute for an MT-50.

I should also note that you can configure the Tracer-BP to Lithium using the app (which you can’t do with the MT-50) there are still further Lithium parameters to set that are not available in the app - to set those you need to use the PC software “Solar Station Monitor”.

Thank you developer for the latest update. I can now use my BLE device. hopefully you can have an update which the data is fetched or the data from BLE refreshes every 5 or 10 seconds without manually doing so. so that it will be a little more convenient for us the users of the device and app. i really appreaciate the update. thank you
