One of the best food apps of all time is back and brand new for iOS 12! The all-new Epicurious app makes it even easier to find the world’s best recipes, watch incredible food videos, and cook delicious meals.
Our top-to-bottom overhaul includes weekly content updates to inspire you, along with videos of your favorite recipes. You can still explore over 35,000 tested recipes from publishers like Bon Appetit, Gourmet, HarperCollins, and more, plus recipe reviews and ratings from home cooks like you. We’ve refreshed all of your favorite features and added a few new ones, like:
Latest Recipe and Video Feeds: New content added every day — never miss another new recipe or video.
Recipe Box: Save your favorite recipes so that they’re only a tap away.
Shopping List: Easily create shopping lists on the fly.
Smart Kitchen Timer: Know exactly how long it takes to cook salmon, chicken, and 40+ other items — without a recipe.
Seasonal Ingredients Finder: Eat local and find out what foods are fresh at farms near you right now.
Ingredients Toggle: New mode lets busy cooks view ingredients with just a tap of a button — no need to scroll.

Poorly Functioning App With Great Content
This is one of those apps that has the potential to be truly outstanding, but is being help back because it poorly functions. I use (or try to use) the app fairly regularly (weekly), access the website too, usually when totally frustrated by the app, and have subscribed to BA magazine for decades. The app content is good (recipes, photos, reviews). I like some of the features added since the app’s creation (personal recipe box, front page features, shopping list, lots more photos than when launched), but am so frustrated and disappointed by performance issues. I am frequently tossed out of the app when browsing or reading front page features. Like many other app reviewers, I would value an in app review feature. Not having one does not stop me from reviewing, but does curtail the number I post considerably. I keep coming back and hoping that the performance issues will be fixed, but have been disappointed for many years running now. Given that these complaints have been around a while, they must be hard to fix, but please do more. The issues are driving me away from what could be a five star app (would give you six if it really worked well).
So handy, so good, what else do you need?
Love this app. Been an Epicurious fan for many years, long before the app came out. I love the ability to save recipes, make shopping lists, read reviews, and the ingredients/instructions flip back and forth is so easy — you’re not constantly scrolling to look at steps then amounts then steps, etc. I use this app every time I cook. I have so many favorite recipes saved in the app. Also, the videos are great and I like the meal planning ideas. I wish the app allowed me to search multi course meals or sides — sometime you get the side pairing in the recipe but often not. Other times, I’m making a 6 course meal for ten with a theme and I just wish I could search “French feast with fish” or something like that, the way you can online. Only three main challenges: 1) sometimes search queries aren’t accurate unless the search lingo is phrased just right; 2)the recipes haven’t always kept up with modern techniques, like sous vide — I use sous vide all the time, and have to go elsewhere for recipes; 3) you can’t post recipe reviews via mobile app — you have to go online desktop and login...if this could be fixed there’d by 10x reviews.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
