Description
Episodic is an artwork that allows users to create a moving collage from disparate fragments. Contained within the app are black and white looping animations. Each animation is a short episode that can be repositioned and scaled allowing users to link together different segments to create a narrative and explore new relationships. The app reconfigures pop-up windows containing Flash animations originally created for the website www.urban fragments.net

A nice App
Pretty cool. The individual animations are interesting in themselves, just to watch. They have a figural theme. Then I spent quite awhile building collages of them on my screen. Then when I found an arrangement that I liked, I just left it running in my living room for a couple of days, where other people saw it and were similarly captivated. And soon, I can create a new collage and let it run for awhile. I think this adds up to an excellent piece of App Art.
