Nice and simple

I just bought this application, but in my first day I am finding it robust and yet simple to use. The interface is clean and the options are well-organized. This is a great app at a great price. My one complaint is that it does (seem) to allow me to put spaces in my formulae. At times, I use words or phrases in my equations and it would be nice to be able to control them better with spaces. Otherwise, well done!
Simple and Reliable

I am a data science researcher who has used Equation Maker extensively over the past 9 years. I have two use cases for this app. I use it to generate equation pdfs for presentations. I use it to validate my MathML when writing papers. The first use case seems to have been covered extensively by these reviews. My second use case seems to get less attention. Since the app is small and light, it is less clunky than using the inline MathML previewer in the Typora markdown editor, which is where I write my draft papers. Equation Maker starts up quickly and reduces my syntax errors.Although Equation Maker is not extensible, in that I cannot use LaTeX header directives, it works for 95% of the things I want to do. I appreciate it as an old-school, single function utility that is very good at what it does. This app is a real gem that is worthy of a download.
Font customization would be nice...

As an equaiton editor, it works nicely. I design a monthly magazine for a scientific membership organization. Often our articles have equations and need to be in a print-worthy format. Previously we used MathType to format the equations into a font that matches the typeface used in the magazine, then we would export to PDF. Since MathType is not keeping up with Apple updates, we are forced to find a different solution. This would suit our needs, if only we could set font preferences so that the text portions of the equaitons used our standard typeface.
Did exactly what I needed, easily

My finance professor wife needed some help with online class materials, during the COVID-19 shutdown. I bought Equation Maker, hoping it would facilitate making the equations she needed. It took maybe 10 minutes or less to learn how to use it. I was very impressed by how clever the little app is. It just works. I loved how you can drag the equations into Word and then resize them so easily. Very, very clever. It seemed perfectly stable -- never hung or crashed.
