Description
Explore the city and observe its inhabitants as their lives play out around you, in a world where the only discrimination is based on the order of birth.
Cursed with a magic which does not fit within the five cardinal aelic callings, 13-years old Lecia has to hide from the guards and find a way out of the city. Yet this magic will allow her to sneak into places and observe plots and schemes that could shake the foundations of Magistan, as the Empress’ progress approaches Norwood. What secret ties her family and the empire?
Mostly text-based, but showcasing detailed 2D backgrounds for its 500 locations, Escape from Norwood lets you free to explore the world and try to combine hundreds of items in any way you want, to trigger unexpected effects on the lives of its 200 characters. This freedom comes with simplicity: no keyboard ever shows up, simply tap on someone, something or somewhere to see the possible interactions and choose among them… for dozens of hours of fun and discovery.
Main features:

Ratings and Reviews
Game will not open…please consider the 1 a non-rating
Cannot open on ipad even though it advertises compatability. I tried to download to apple desktop instead and cant see a way to do it. Refund? I cant rate the game, which sounds interesting. Developer responded immediately. It seems my device is too old to run this game. It looks like an amazing and artistic effort from going to web site and watching trailer. I will try again when I upgrade.I cannot send without marking a star but it does not reflect game play!
Developer Response ,
I’m sorry for your experience. The App is tested on iPad for each version, and it is working on my test device. Could you maybe reach out to me from the means referenced on the game’s website to investigate (which device and which iOS version)?
For the refund, it must be requested from Apple as the purchase is done with them. I can’t do anything on my side.
I hope we can find a solution to your particular issue. The game has very few reviews and the impact of a one time incompatibility is wildly exaggerated by the review system.
It was listed as being accessible to the blind, and it is not.
I bought this game because it was listed under games that are accessible to the blind. It does not work with voiceover. If you fix this, I will change this review.
Developer Response ,
Hello,
I’m very sorry about this experience. The mobile version is indeed not accessible, only the desktop version is. The game is too complex to be accessible without a keyboard. Where did you see it listed as accessible on mobile platforms so that I can ask for a correction? Also, you may reach out to the email on the game’s website and I can send you over a key to access the Steam version for free.
Breaking Out The Children Failure
This game is honestly not prepared for app format and it shows. I’m seriously disappointed because the story is interesting, the lore is intriguing, and I want to continue the game. But I’m not allowed to continue because the developer never found a way to get our dumb tiny protagonist to cross the rapids for the critical “Breaking Out the Children” mission.
Enjoy the game up to that mission (except never visit the arena or you will become locked in an invisible portal that you cannot escape without restarting the game), but don’t expect to progress that point since the protagonist cannot swim and refuses to hop on rocks no matter how far away we begin our running start from. Bummer. I will be pursuing a refund in the hopes that this glitch isn’t present in the PC version.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I've got good news for you: the game was developed on mobiles first, before being ported to desktop, so it was not only prepared, but built for app format.
The issues you encounter are not bugs: the protagonist can learn how to swim, and if you look at the hints within your diary it will help you find out how. Similarly, you can exit the arena if you wait through the fight that triggers when you enter (you can of course speed up time if you're not interested in the details of the fight). I re-tested both things right now and they worked fine.
If you unfortunately ran into a bug and what should work doesn't on your device, please reach out to me directly through any of the means displayed on the game's website so we can sort this out without tanking the game's ratings.
I hope this helps.
