Escape Game: Bali ٤+

This Bali one by Jammsworks was Ok. It’s a different style than several of their previous newer games (from the last few years). I feel like it’s more finding where all of these little items that are lying around fit with each other, than finding many different items and clues themselves, which I find more fun. My favorite Jammsworks games so far have been Santorini, Kyoto, Venice, Hanoi, and Ocean Front, though this one, Bali, was a fun change from the style of the previous ones. I’ll definitely play whatever game they make next, as Jammsworks has become my favorite escape game creators. The thought that they put into all of the clues and puzzles, and the great graphics which appear more 3D than other games, I really love and appreciate. I also love the calm and cute look of the characters and scenes, which I don’t find in most other escape games I’ve played. Thanks for making the best escape games, Jammsworks!<3

Jammsworks is my favorite developer. I religiously wait for every new game and have played the entire catalog a couple times now. I agree with most of the reviews here. I don’t think the drag controls add anything to the enjoyability or challenge, and the table by table mini scenarios are pretty easy and just kind of boring. It’s tedious to constantly be dragging objects. It’s an ‘advancement’ that makes it less fun. Whatever programming it takes to do that isn’t worth it. Simple controls are better. Dear dev, please go back to the old style everyone loves. Thank you for all the rest of your games.

I’ve enjoyed many of this dev’s games but this one just doesn’t work. Kudos for trying something new but please get games adequately tested before releasing. Too many things that are supposed to go places won’t go. For instance, I think I’m supposed to put the water in the kettle but it won’t go. I think I’m supposed to empty the sugar cubes to get to the battery underneath but they won’t go anywhere. I think I’m supposed to empty the bath salts to get to the thing underneath but they won’t go anywhere. I’ve tried to move them all so many, many times and no luck. Plus, too many things are unrecognizable. Please put names of things on inventory items. I have no idea what this blue box is. Ugh. This is all way too frustrating! I’m deleting. Maybe I’ll try again in a couple of months after the next dozen or so updates. Sorry Jammsworks. It would be fun if it worked.
