Escape Room:New Escape Games 9+

Tried everything for password. Switching out the f’s in the posters for c’s and the c for f. Mixing up the order. Using the numbers on the table, using them upside down, etc. what the hey? Don’t want to pay for tips since I don’t know if the paid tips will actually include this one. Would gave given 5 stars up to this point, even though those were hard they made sense. This does not.
**Addendum: originally gave 2 stars. Upgraded to 4. Turns out the free tip was exactly the one I needed. Password has nothing to do with the posters. Would have been 5 stars if the tip actually made sense!! How do you know to use 2 numbers at a time? And then how do you subtract 3 from 02 and get 25? Developer, please explain this logic for your customers?
All in all very challenging and fun for the most part. Level 10 lever numbers have three 4-digit numbers that work mathematically; just had to figure out which set of the 4 digit numbers worked in the fire hydrant. Fun.

So far, this game has been fun to play, I like the music, the art style, and the way you can use items on other items. However, it doesn’t give you a lot of instruction on how to play the game, and the puzzles themself are hard to follow, since some items are so small I might miss them. Overall, it’s a good game with very few glitches and a reasonable number of ads, but it seems to be for people who like challenging escape rooms.

How is one supposed to find clues if you can’t freely move about the room? It appears there might be more hints but you are not able to zoom in or walk to them for a closer look at will.

Why is there no tutorial at the beginning? An aid explaining how you can go about discovering things could go a long way. Additionally, the idea of an escape room is that you at least receive enough of the background story to grab your attention while providing a few simple solutions to get the adventure going. This has one sentence that is it. No character introduction, no way to truly look around, no hints on the first level to at least explain what you will be doing throughout the game, no story with intro to inspire you to want to figure out more.

If your first level is too frustrating to examine and work out the details, it becomes too discouraging to even give the game a chance past the first 10 minutes or so of playing.

I really like escape rooms and the idea of them but this just doesn’t give you enough to work with.
