I agree with pretty much everyone else. The app works but it’s pretty bad. Most of the menu options are blank and you can’t see what’s selected until you go back to a previous screen. Also it won’t work if I deny it access to my location which makes no sense.
Has some quirks but once you move around in it :-)
Really works well. Missing some of the labels in sub menus but when you select the blank space and save, then you see what the label is, for instance the motion sensitivity high, medium , low. You just have to go into each and every menu and play with the app. No it’s not polished but yes it works beautifully if you just fiddle with it. The camera quality is excellent and the picture flawless. I dropped the dang camera from about 2 feet and it came up working just fine, whew! Extremely happy with it and for the price Awesome!! Wifi hook up a bit odd but I got it. Seemed like I went from putting my iPhone first on the A- (the cameras own internal Wifi) then the camera itself to my in home 2.4 Wifi then changed the iPhone from the A- camera Wifi to my 2.4 home Wifi and THEN it all started talking. Did I read the instructions word for word, sort of....
I don’t know if it’s the app or the camera, but I am constantly losing connection with the camera (wired-powered) and been troubleshooting more than using it seems.
Also, the camera will not connect unless you set the location permissions to “Always on”. I tried every option and it wouldn’t start streaming the video feed until the always setting. Their reasoning within their app is due to finding the correct city and the weather, which I don’t want the app to do either. It’s a camera stream app, not a weather app. So I have to toggle the settings in between uses to avoid unnecessary tracking of my location.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
