Employee self-service (ESS) is a widely used human resources technology that enables employees to perform many job-related functions, applying an online request form such as: employee onboarding checklist, tardiness request form, leave request form, working overtime request form, change day-off form, change timesheet form, updating personal information, scholarship request form, external training request form, employment certificate request form, salary certificate request form, incident request form, appraisal request form, resignation request form, etc..,. The staff can also accessing or viewing history record such as: attendance time in/out history, overtime history, payroll history, and training history.

ESS helps employees do HR responsibilities faster and more accurately. By allowing employees to handle HR tasks themselves, reducing work time and paper work for HR, administrative staff, or managers. When employees enter their own information, it also enhances data accuracy.
