Ratings and Reviews
Honestly... This is the best free app, ever!
This app is extremely useful compared to other apps that I’ve tried using to learn the skeletal structure. Though, it doesn’t list EVERY SINGLE small detail that my text book would, it still is incredibly useful and accurate. Moreover, I love the features that it comes with. I love how you can isolate the bone(s) of interest, fade other bones, take notes, get more info, quiz yourself, and much more in order to learn the material.
The only cons I’ve came across is typing a word and the structure of interest isn’t available (but maybe it has a different name I’m not aware of). Secondly, it doesn’t list the foramen(s) that I’m interested in. But that’s no issue Google didn’t solve.
I would recommend this app for anyone who is trying to learn more about the skeletal system. I’m currently taking A&P 1 and this app is extremely helpful, especially when I don’t feel like bringing my heavy textbooks around. I will be using this app in A&P 2 next semester. I can’t wait. 🙂🙂 Best free app I’ve ever used.
Great free app for reference model of skeleton
This is probably one of the best (if not, the best) app for reference of a 3D model skeleton. It provides multiple features such as highlighting and pinning certain body parts as well as fading or hiding other body parts if you want to focus on a certain region/area. It also gives you a brief description of each bone part as well. If I had to give some cons...
-It can be a little tricky when trying to rotate the model to look at the skeleton or bone at a certain angle. (I got used to it.)
-It doesn’t label a lot of the parts of each bone (ex: Frontal bone: Coronal suture, supraorbital foramen, etc.)
-When at full zoom at the skeleton/a bone part, the model can look a little blurry.
However, I should say that these cons (for me at least) are VERY MINOR. Most of these cons don’t really bother me but it would be somewhat if they did fix them in an update (especially the second con). But for a FREE app? I’d say this definitely does the job of a providing an accurate model of a skeleton and is definitely worth downloading versus getting those other paid 3D model anatomy apps. I would HIGHLY recommend this app to anyone.
Can’t believe it’s free!!!! 🤗
This is such an amazing app. This is what you’ve been looking for if your an anatomy and physiology student! You can rotate to see 3D and see where bones articulate with each other. You can zoom in really close. I’m most likely going to purchase the muscle one. God bless you great people when made this app. Literally open lab in your phone. There are no labels to things, so use your own atlas. It would also be great if they had a test version where they give a random bone and we have to identify right or left and certain anatomical landmarks.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
