Often, large dictionaries, such as the Oxford English Dictionary will contain some etymological information, without aspiring to focus on etymology. Etymological dictionaries are the product of research in historical linguistics. This Etymological dictionary app contains tens of thousands of words and their origin. All words are explained concisely and clearly in english to be understood by the reader.

Bible references

“Revelations” is not the name of the last book of New Testament. The term is singular not plural.😇; s.v., word of the day – Chiliasm

It does not seem to have a definition, let alone the etymology of any words.

Pretty useless unless you want to search a word, not get a definition and then get and ad. Don’t waste you’re time

Too many ads

So many ads... each time you search for a word you get a pop up add and have to wait. They don’t even give very good definitions or history. Vague at best and frustrating.
