I’ve read lots of reviews that are in my opinion overly critical of the Everbank app. I opened an online account with them because of the amazing savings rate. 4.30% as of this review. One of the tops in the country available to any customer. Anyway, yes, there are some frustrating things: it keeps on asking if I want to sign up for bill pay even though I tap “don’t ask me again.” It doesn’t list my opening deposit in my account, but it does show in the balance. Only concerning if you don’t keep track of your money. Even so, it’s on your statement. Clunky, define clunky. I work in the banking industry at another institution and the app isn’t a 2.3. It should be more like a 3.5. I’ll happily take the app as is for getting what my savings rate is. If you’re looking for a bank with a top rate and just moving your money and leave it to grow in a savings, this will work perfectly fine.

After having to deal with TIAA's horrible site and app since opening my account in January, I am relieved to see a nice functional app. It has everything you need to manage your accounts, it's simple and the UI looks good. Love the tile view on the dashboard. The app can definitely be made to offer smoother screen changes and loading, but it's a great start!I APPRECIATE SO MUCH, that the announcements are at the bottom. I don't know why so many apps have it at the top pushing down your account infomation.Note: would love it if we could keep all account tiles permanently expanded on the dashboard screen.

The TIAA app was not great but it was better than this. UI is horrible. Plenty of rendering problems and other display and functionality faux pas. It looks and behaves as though it was developed by a high school kid in a garage. Offering “new” (which it isn’t) functionality does not mean anything if you can’t do it properly. They have had over a YEAR (and they were still very late from the original transfer date) to get it together but still couldn’t produce. Why did you ever sell to TIAA in the first place? Everbank to TIAA then back to EverBank. What a colossal waste of a merger and time. Customer service is still a problem since half of those on the phone don’t know what they are doing. The other half behind the scenes can’t respond to requests correctly. It’s as if they don’t have any critical reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills. I have over a million dollars in this bank and am always looking for another home to put it.

The app has a “glitch”, albeit probably an intentional one. Just about every time I log in it prompts me to sign up for Zelle. It gives three options: sign up now, remind me later, and don’t ask me this again. I don’t want Zelle so EVERY TIME I see this prompt I select “don’t show me this again”. So why do I keep seeing it? I’d love to provide feedback about the glitch but there is no means to do so. I can wade through levels of FAQ which is always a misnomer because they never answer question I have. But no means to contact them other than phone numbers. You want me to call you so you can put me in hold for 20 minutes and tell me that you are experiencing “greater than usual call volumes” but you actually “value my time” just so I can tell you that your app is buggy? Sorry, no. This app is designed to save THEM time by not having to interact with you.
