Description
The “EF Sidekick” application, which works with EverFocus’ IP Sidekick, is designed to eliminate all the troubles you may go through when installing IP cameras.
It helps you to easily check the camera live view from you smart phone without using an additional monitor to view and adjust all the IP cameras during installation.
Moreover, the IP Sidekick can assign an IP address to the camera so that you don’t need to pre-configure the IP address. In all, with this app, you can complete the IP cameras installation as easily and efficiently as never before.

Needs update
Continues to crash I’m using iPhone 10 up to date with the latest iOS and it force closes after I try to connect to my camera
Useless
I have the EF IP Sidekick device which powers a camera, assigns it an IP and provides a WiFi network for me to join with my iPhone XS. The hardware unit works but this app always shows “no devices on the local network” even when I am connected to an access point on my network where I have multiple cameras. It also looks like it hasn’t been updated in years as it does not fit the larger layout of iPhones made after about 2016.
This was billed as a professional installers tool a few years ago when I bought the device but, given the horrible app, it is basically useless. If you don’t know the default IP of the camera then you certainly cannot find it using this tool.
Works as intended!
This has been a valuable time saver since I purchased it several years ago.
Makes focusing and set-up a breeze.
