EveryPlate: Cooking Simplified 4+

Update! Still LOVE EveryPlate! I haven’t had anything missing from my boxes in a very long time! This next thing is about the app. Since the last week (mid April 2022) the app makes you sign in each time you close the app. I hate this. Please app developers, make this stop!!! I shouldn’t have to log in each time I open the app like I just freshly downloaded it!

I loved HelloFresh, but it was too expensive for me and my family. When HelloFresh told me about their other company call EveryPlate that was half the price of HelloFresh, I decided to try them. I have loved every recipe I have gotten thus far. I LOVE that you can switch out a protein for a different protein option! Very helpful when I don’t eat pork products! The only problem we have had is that we don’t always get all of the ingredients for the recipe. Thankfully I have had those ingredients on hand, but I would be super mad if I didn’t. For example, in this last box, I didn’t get the Penne pasta for one recipe, the Parmesan for another (which i had chosen to double up on that recipe, so I didn’t have any Parmesan for the 4 serving meal), then I got a jalapeño in my box that didn’t go to any of my meals. I ended up using it in a meal anyway though. So overall I love them, but I wish the people that they had packing the boxes were more thorough.

My daughter (age23), finally has an interest in cooking, These meals are perfect! Everything you need comes in the box, with full instructions. The box comes on a day of the week, of your choosing. Full recipe cards, with the picture of each item in your box. It has a (1 |2) under each picture of the item, that stands for 2 portions or 4 portions. So if you are making just 2 portions you use 1 of the item or if it is 4 portions you use 2. Instructions are very easy to follow. She loves it!
You can change any meal on the website, three days before your delivery date, by decreasing the portion size and chose another from the many options. So if you decide you don’t particularly care for a meal, you can replace it with something else you prefer.
You can also add meals, protein and other vegetables to your delivery, on the website after your meals are chosen, as add-one.
If you have a family of 5 or 6, I’d choose the two person meals and then you are able to choose food for 6 a lot easier. If you choose 4 person plan when you add on extra meals it increases by 4 instead of 2.
We love it. I spend less money, because I don’t go to the grocery store as often. So I’m not picking up things I don’t really need. If I see it, I buy it at the grocery stores lol.

My Father is 94, my Mother 91. I cared for my Mom and Dad who almost died in Jan 2022 from CoVid 19. In Feb when I had to return home I began sending EveryPlate each week using the meat and veggies options. Before CoVid I noticed my parents eating meals that were too small and the ingredients were often “old” or wilted. They also live 20 minutes from fresh groceries. I believe EveryPlate makes a dramatic difference in my parents physical and mental health by providing fresh food and a plan! In months they have had only one recipe they didn’t care for… and we can no longer send burgers- my Mom enjoys eating but struggles to feed herself- burgers don’t work. With those adjustments I sincerely believe EveryPlate is one of the reasons my parents are able to live in their own home with caregivers. I have lowered not just the cost of groceries but the hassle of planning dinner meals. Plus, with my father finally strong enough to stand and cook again, we recently prepared a recipe together! For months caregivers have prepared Every Plate meals which made every dinner meal easier for all! I congratulate Every Plate on outstanding service, tasty food choices and easy to follow recipes!
