This is the "classic" Exacq Mobile app. Users with NVRs running version 24.09 or higher have the option to download the newer app, exacqVision Mobile, available now. The Exacq Mobile app allows users to view live and recorded video from exacqVision IP and hybrid servers. Connect and view up to 48 surveillance cameras from multiple exacqVision servers through the free exacqVision web service. Control pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, monitor and control triggers, view and search video, and more from your mobile device.

Going down hill

The Exacq mobile App used to be great. Since the entire app as revised or rewritten a few years ago, it has been going down the hill. Slow connects, no connects, failed logins one minute when it was just working five minutes ago. Now my views only show a list but will not populate a live VIEW. We are Select Dealers too and I fear trying to work this out with support. Rather slam my finger in the door. Exacq do something about the App. At expos we all talk. Most I talk to when they on road like me, check their homes with $50 WiFi Cam and not Exacq because it’s easier and it works!!!

I don’t know how people use this if they aren’t tech people. The icons make no sense. The buttons all do different things. There’s no logic to when you click a word or just an icon on certain settings. The ability to troubleshoot the app is non-existent. Once you are connected, and your cameras appear, it is not intuitive at all how to change your views. The search feature is awful! Try to narrow down the search time to 10 minutes and it wants to return two hours, then makes you wait as it buffers. This app needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Take a look at the Eefy or Nest apps please!

I’ve had this video app since our video system was installed and have never been able to use it, it is constantly failing to connect to the server, have had the installing company out several times to fine the problem and they have been great helping me getting the system back up and running however in a week the app won’t login any longer. The installing company just left and again the app in working, they had to completely remove the app and reinstall and this is the same problem as 2 weeks ago. Your video system was highly recommended by Giotto’s Alarm-Tech and now I am disappointed that I listened to them. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!!

1. When clicking to view a camera why not allow full screen? Instead you have a black area around the imagine and have to manually pinch with fingers to expand. Users are doing this so regardless of what you feel this is needed for how about making it convenient for us when we are managing 100s of cameras. 2. Given that I have to pinch each time to view a larger screen of the camera this doesn’t allow the PTZ functions to work. Suggestion would be allow the PTZ function overlay to work when wanting to enlarge the camera view or do as stated above in #1
