The instructions and visuals for each exercise are well done. It’s a helpful series of levels. Having the daily calendar really is helping me keep track of my progress. I’m still on level one but I feel improvement. I like that you can provide feedback that guides the difficulty of exercises. The app did freeze on me once. I don’t know if it was my phone, user error, or the app itself. I restarted my phone and have had no trouble since. I’m likely to recommend this app to others. My only concern is that I’m an older adult who no longer is as active ( it’s been a long long time since I was running); therefore, there’s a mix of exercises that are easy and a bit harder in each section. I’m sure if I was a more active individual, there might be more consistency for my needs. It’s not a deterrent for me, I will adjust as needed. I have been through 2 series of physical therapy for other injuries so I feel this app is a good addition or alternative as it’s so hard to get timely appointments. Overall, I see this as a very helpful and well structured app that has validity and well researched information. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using the Exakt Running & PT Trainer to address gluteal tendinopathy for 6months now. It’s best for graduated PT exercises as the cues & exercises have really helped my rehabilitation so that I could recover my strength. At this point in time, I’m in the process of progressing my endurance runs using Exakt. Big issues with the app: I never could get it to synchronize with my Apple Watch after much troubleshooting, so I have to carry my iPhone on runs, which I don’t like to do. Secondly, I couldn’t customize my program & progress on the app or even specify which particular exercises cause discomfort/pain or which are easy or difficult, as the program has me rate each session in total. Thirdly, I don’t like that the app doesn’t let me customize or make changes to the workout schedule. For examples, I completed exercise sessions but forgot to mark as completed, but the program won’t let me update that once that day passed. Or there were days I couldn’t go running because I’d be scheduled to work 3 12-hour shifts in a row as an ICU nurse. The program wouldn’t let me substitute something at home like a core or leg workout on the mat as substitutions on those days, never mind that I’d track 15,000 steps per day on those days at work. In short, the app program is very limited & rigid & doesn’t take into account or reflect whole body or life activities.

I am so happy that I found this app. I ran a marathon on a slightly strained calf and ended up with a super strained calf. My progress was slow at first but has steadily improved. I am recommending this app to all of my running friends!A couple of pieces of feedback:1. I wish that I could rearrange the workouts within a week with a bit more flexibility. For example, if I know I’ll be pressed for time so I want to do a fundamental workout one day early, but skip one of the optional workouts. I cannot access the future workout until that day arrives.2. I wish that I could go back and edit my response to the question about whether the workout increased my injury symptoms within 24 hours. I usually mark it right after finishing the workout but then the next day if I feel discomfort I wish that was editable.Overall this app has been a true lifesaver during this time as it has provided me with hope that I will get back to running again and a sense of accomplishment in all the baby steps along the way. Super appreciate the detailed written instructions and video for each exercise.Thank you!!!!

I hurt my knee about 2 months ago. My doctor verified it was a meniscus injury. I have been using this app for the last two weeks. I am noticing progress. I am also learning some other ways to work the joint. I will keep using this app because I think it’s helping me. My only critique, is the video for the Russian twist. In the demonstration the model only moves his arm ms and does not rotate his torso at all. The written description is correct. Besides that, this is a great tool to me. Thank you for making it available.
