Compress Explain Everything for iPad screencast project files (.EXPLAIN & .XPL) directly on your Mac.
Instead of waiting for your iPad to compress your screencasts, you can transfer the project files (via iTunes sharing, Dropbox, Box, WebDAV, Evernote, GDrive and other cloud services) and convert them to MP4 movies with resolution up to HD 1080p (4:3). This is especially useful for presentations that use inserted video objects.
Multiple files can be added to the Explain Everything Compressor queue and while the files are compressing, you can continue to do other work on your computer.
Explain Everything for iPad and iPhone is an easy-to-use design tool that lets you annotate, animate, and narrate explanations and presentations. You can create dynamic and interactive lessons, activities, assessments, and tutorials using Explain Everything's flexible and integrated design.
Use Explain Everything as an interactive whiteboard by projecting your iPad or iPhone via a cable or Airplay.
Please note that the Explain Everything compressor will only work with projects created using Explain Everything version 1.71 or later (current Explain Everything version is 6.0).

thank you for the updates
the updates you give in both the apps ( explain edu, explain everthing compressor) is more healpful
I should have bought it earlier!
I make videos for my classes using Explain Everything. Exporting the project file as a video file was my least favorite part of the process, because it would take foerever on the iPad. I was not very convinced about spending money on this seemingly unnecessary app, but I’m very glad I did. Generating the video file was super quick, and it’s very convenient to have it already in the computer instead of having to transfer it.
I haven’t had trouble with the app, but I have not been using it for long.
You Need This, But You Shouldn’t Need This
I started flipping my classes last year, and I use Explain Everything nearly every day, and the iPad app is just excellent. However, file sizes tend to be a little large, especially if you are adding video; as a result, you really need to reduce the file size - hence the compressor. Problem is, as much as I love the app, and I really do, the app should be designed with a compressor built in - having to buy a separate app to reduce the file size is aggravating. Nevertheless, I bought the compressor, it does work, it reduces the file size, and definetly speeds things up as you move files from the iPad to your laptop/desktop. I just don’t like having to buy two apps when one should have the ability to compress built in.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
