Good app in general

Super easy to use! But sometimes the downloading dialog at the bottom gets stuck, and it sometimes doesn’t let me quit the app without quitting the expo app if there was an error.

Worked right out of the box!

Discovered this through a course on Udemy for react-native development and I have to say that this app has allowed me to get straight into coding with very minimal effort. It just takes a little setup on your pc or laptop from the terminal and your good to go.

It’s very helpful and interacts with the pc through local network. Any changes you make to the react native app will reflect directly onto mobile in real-time. It’s awesome for development.

Thank you for making this!

Easy for developers, not so great for users

While it’s quite fantastic what Expo has managed to do for the developer community and RN, the majority of the apps I have come to use and test often feels cheapened and watered down. Sure, it’s nice to “get 2 for the price of 1”, but maybe instead of being so focused on making the lives of developers easier, it also makes sense to consider the quality of apps that are being released into the ecosystem. It is regular people, after all, and not just developers that use apps.
