Constant connection problems
Almost every time I try to use this app there is some connection issue that forces me to reset the app to view the cameras, even if it does work it takes half a minute to connect. I also can’t export recorded video from my phone because of some compression bug. There are multiple bugs when using PTZ functions, good luck if you try to follow someone because the camera will either only move in tiny increments where you have to keep tapping the direction you want it to move or it will jump and rotate way past what you’re trying to look at. Look into other systems before you go with this.

Being in the security industry for over 10+ years I always recommend Uniview for my commercial and high end clients and of course this app would be installed on their phones. This app was great, live view, playback, PTZ control, etc. But ever since the app started crashing hard a few weeks ago now I’m questioning this set up as a competitor, the constant crashing and not allowing access to view cameras remotely has lost a very important function which is a key selling point, remote viewing and system/camera control.
Not sure what’s going on but this is why people are going to cloud based systems like ring and avoiding a rock solid HD solution. Please put this on the top of your list and find out why it’s crashing. The DDNS says Its online but I can’t connect the system via EZDDNS or local IP. Now clients are complaining that they can’t remote view their system and are now asking what the pros and cons are to removing the Uniview systems and installing ring. With this not working maybe it’s best to pay a monthly fee to insure the remote access will alway be monitored for customer satisfaction.
Have cameras all over the house and they now won’t connect to the app and will only show on the home monitors. We’ve called customer service multiple times and they all say something different that NEVER works. Also, don’t be lazy and put your app description in ENGLISH for the American app, where most of your customers are. Everything about this company and app scream shady. You won’t receive the help you need to fix your cameras, don’t but this. Developers welcome to attempt justify this, but there’s no justification. I expected safety when my family purchased this and all I’ve gotten is non stop headaches, mainly trying to understand horribly spoken English from Chinese people located in China. I feel like I’m in the 90’s with a Dell computer all over again. DON’T BUY THEIR ITEMS!
