Robust Banking App
I have been an FNB customer for 2 years. I chose them primarily for their banking phone app. I have not been disappointed & their most recent update is another home run. I use the banking app daily & have never encountered any issues. Great Bank & Great app.
The amount of times I’ve had to call to change my password is very inconvenient. I have Face ID turned on, it’s my face.. how would someone break into it? Getting one answer wrong on the security questions means you have to go through the process of calling FNB waiting forever and then changing your password again. A simple “forgot my password” email would make the app 5 stars. I understand trying to protect the safety of the account but sometimes the process of getting into your own account is a hassle.
Bug or error? Good luck getting support
Currently I have a bug that causes the app to crash every time my camera opens to scan a check in-app.
I called FNBs customer support line to report the issue and I was told “we can only help troubleshoot the website and mobile banking, not the app. I don’t know what to tell you. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling?”. There’s also no twitter account to report outages to, so the only way to get help is to call the hotline, and even then that’s only for the web and mobile site.
I tried following the shred of helpful advice I got from that call to realize wow, the bug was still there!! So while I’m getting paychecks out-of-state, I have no way to deposit them until I get back home in the fall.
I honestly had no issue with FNB until this ordeal. I’m switching banks when I get home.
