I thought I would give this a try on some old pics from over 40 years ago that were yellowing and a bit blurry and was stunned at what just a L1 optimization and L1 color did with the pics to clean them up. I am delighted so far and hope to share the cleaned up pics with some old friends who are in them as we all have changed a lot in over 40 years but the pics bring back memories like it was yesterday. I will have to dig out more and save them from the effects of time before they are lost forever.

I tried the app in March 2025 and it was working well. I was offered complimentary credits to try it by Tom. It was what I needed and works well within its limitations so I took a year subscription. Everything was fine until 2 weeks ago when I started it and was asked to pay. I ignored it and when I tried using the pro features I couldn’t. Also when I downloaded a photo the watermark remained. I sent a photo of my payment receipt and a screenshot of the pay screen to support but didn’t hear back which I found unusual. I tried 4 times to get a response, even sending from my work email with read receipt. Nothing. Ghosted. Not sure what happened but until this is resolved I wouldn’t get it. You may not get any support. Sad it came to this.

Although I’m sure it will only get better as AI improves, the colorization for this app is quite nice. I have used several other apps that provide terrible wide swipes at recoloring photos, usually doing well with either skin color or clothing color but never both. This app seems to be doing quite a good job at both of these areas and I must say that I am impressed. I’ll be giving this multiple tries to see what it can do!

This thing is incredible. Just about as close as you can get to a Time Machine. The features are so lifelike and realistic. When messing around with it I found it even works on paintings! If you have old photos or would like to see how a historical figure would have really looked I can’t recommend it enough!

I have just started to use and test Face 26. After 3 or 4 photos I upgraded to pro for a lifetime. I am putting together family genealogy books for the family and intend to upgrade and colorize the old family photos. I highly recommend trying this program.

This in all these AI photo enhancers can change the shapes of the eyes, eyebrows and other facial features. They especially change the look of teeth. I was trying one picture where it was clear that the subject had upper and lower teeth and the program extended the top teeth to cover the lower set. Don’t waste your money, buying any of these products until they work these bugs out.
