Great idea, poorly executed (currently)
Facebook has it set up to where you can’t fully optimize your business page with out this app, but this app has a lot of glitches and errors. One of my biggest pet peeves, it doesn’t alert me when I have messages. I’ve checked and double checked that notifications are turned on, I’ve made sure the app was the current upgrade I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled several times, still nothing. So as a busy business owner I’m now forced to check my messages serval times a day, and are often late replying to messages. I can argue that is money lost. If I was 6-12 hours to write some one back, they have already started googling other options people want things immediate. So it would be nice if I could give them the info they need immediately and close the sale. It also has a lot of errors with showing accurate likes and shares. I occasionally do give aways, and they are impossible to do with out going on a computer, if you do a like and share giveaway the app will show you 300 people shared. But only show you the most recent 20ish. I’m sure some have to do with sharing public vs private but not a majority. I would be very happy with the app if they cleaned up the glitches. The design is great, execution was not.
Nothing but a link shows up on scheduled posts since the last 2 updates.
I’d give this app zero stars if I could. What bug fixes did you fix? Because it’s worse than ever! 2 updates ago.... something happened where if you copy and paste the link directly from a page’s newsfeed and schedule it for a later time... only a link shows when the chosen link posts. No image, nothing else displays. Then last week for 24 hours, this issue was fixed and the app worked perfectly. Then the app updated again and same problem. The only way around this is to copy and paste the link directly from a photo album on a page, instead of copying and pasting the link directly from the newsfeed. This is so time consuming and ridiculous, as I have to toggle back and forth between the regular Facebook app, copy paste from the photo album, and go back to the pages app to schedule the post. It takes 10 times as long as it used to. Why can a huge company like Facebook not fix or care about such a huge glitch in their app software? I depend on my phone to schedule my pages. I don’t have access to a laptop all the time. You should flat out be embarrassed as a company at how something so basic doesn’t work. Why don’t you just let people schedule their pages on the regular Facebook app? Why force us to use an additional app that does not even work properly?
Come On Facebook...
The app lacks a lot of functionality and is very glitchy. Example, when I view the home screen and try to scroll down, the app glitches and takes me back to the top of the page. This happens several times. Also, when I click on Followers, it only shows 1; but when I check using the computer, I see all of my followers. The app is also slow and can be cumbersome to navigate. There is a lot of functionality that is in the web version using a computer that isn’t available in the app. To some degree, this is understandable however some basic capabilities would be nice to have in the app. I could expand more into things it’s lacking but rather I’ll let the reviews speak for itself. It’s tough for us, the users, because we don’t always have a laptop with us and have to resort to using the app; personally, it’s my last resort. I’ll wrap up with mentioning the constant and relentless push to you as the user to purchase their marketing service (promoting your page). It’s constant and fills up your notifications. Trouble is, unless you click the notification to clear it, you don’t have any other option. So, these never phase out like notifications in the normal FB app but rather stay in there. Once you click on one of them, it’ll bug you later about finishing your page promotion. Very annoying...
