Updates destroy make this app unusable pretty often.

Update: This last update just fixed the issues the previous updates caused. These updates pushed out by FB keep making managing our private groups or group pages impossible to use the search function or use other features as an administrator. I manage a few private group pages as an administrator and I need to have the ability to investigate questionable content produced by any member in these groups. When I find posts by a members that breaks FB guidelines and group set rules I need to be able to investigate these members’ history, remove posts, remove profiles or edit content. Almost every update screws things up with the exception of one good update around once a year! Very frustrating! I need all of the sites functions (especially the search) to work to be able to insure that the page stays within FB guidelines and group page rules already set. I know you have no intention in doing this, but please make sure updates work before pushing them out. FB is just too busy with their effort in the social war between political parties that they just can’t let us normal people use the app as a legit town square to join people with the same interests, (ie. car people and our cars). This is an Update: 11May2022 from the previous of 7May2022.

Marketplace is stealing your money!

Beware that the Marketplace is stealing your money on a regular basis. I decided to try selling through FB Marketplace. At first it was good, but now it’s crazy! They updated things frequently, and it’s not working properly anymore. Now they have a new practice: they started stealing your payouts! First time it happened to me, I sold a dress. My payout was $45, but they sent me only $8. I asked for help, but they ignored me. Adam said he saw that they sent me $45, and I have to ask my bank. I sent him all the proof that they sent only $8. Keep in mind, it’s easy to check this information from their side. The bank just deposits the amount which was sent. I asked Adam to provide me transaction details such as a transaction number to proof that they sent me $45, and Adam just didn’t respond. They know that I am right, but do nothing to help. No support or anything.
The second time I sold a book. Guess what? My payout is just simply gone from my payout page! Vanished! I never got it! Nobody cares! They always claim that they sent you your payouts and that you should ask your bank. But the bank deposits the amounts that YOU SEND!
You are not protected!
Very unprofessional workers!
Just think about it: a billion dollar company is stealing your poor amount of earnings. Before you launch a marketplace for people to use you have to test it first and then release it to the public. That way people won’t have these problems!

Failure

Facebook’s ever changing “community standards” leave the doors open to violations, account suspensions and even account removals based on posts that are often one, two or as much a seven years old. Like writing a ticket for running a stop sign to someone years before the sign was even installed. Not to mention, the so called “community standards” are interpreted by software and not actual humans, so the level of accuracy is ridiculously high. Certain words now trigger censors, that are common descriptors in different settings, but result in suspensions or post removals. The term “fatty” in the fishing community is a compliment to describe a great looking fish someone has caught, but it now results in posts being flagged on fishing community pages. The term “grammar nazi” to describe those who have nothing to contribute to a post but to correct someone’s grammar, spelling and punctuation….banned. And if someone doesn’t like how a discussion is going, all they have to do is report you as a “bully” or “harassment” and you get flagged in the system….doesn’t matter the content of your posts.
“Private Groups” are subject to the same rules, despite having agreements with members regarding the kind of content that will be posted and that is acceptable. And “public groups” can no longer edit out who they want to join as FB allows everyone to join and SPAM the groups.
And don’t bother trying to use Marketplace on an iPad…it crashes EVERY TIME.
