Have you ever tried to reach through the veil and connect to a faery? What about the entire faerie realm? What if there was a portal that could give you the ability to do just that? That is, a window into a world that few get a chance to see? Now you can access that world and receive meaningful and personal messages from faeries—messages that are meant only for you at a particular moment.
Take a journey through the veil to connect to your faery via a very special and first of its kind app that turns your iDevice into a portal. The portal allows for two distinct methods to interact with a faery. You may take a photo of yourself using a window that transforms your image into the faery connecting with you, or simply touch the screen and allow the whole of faerie to directly respond to your energy, thereby choosing a faery and message for you.
World-renowned faery artists Brian and Wendy Froud have created an app as an extension of their newly released book, Brian Froud's Faeries' Tales, to help connect readers with the faeries featured in their book, as well as others within the faerie realm. Since 2012, Brian has painted the portraits of the faeries that he connects with through the veil. Wendy has worked alongside him, translating the faeries’ messages and backstories, the latter of which can be found in their new book. This app’s portal allows for experiencing the faeries firsthand: view their portraits and receive special messages from them. The messages are always thought-provoking and timely; some are serious, others funny, and all are intentionally and specifically sent to you. Only you will truly understand the meaning behind each message.
The Frouds are known for their work on Jim Henson's Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. Wendy is known for her fabrication of Yoda in George Lucas's The Empire Strikes Back. In 2013, Brian was voted third out of Imagine FX’s 100 most favorite fantasy artists of their 100 issues. Together the Frouds are two of the most internationally well-known and respected artists working in the genre of faerie today. Now it is your turn to experience the world they see via the portal that can only be found in the “Faces of Faerie.”

No problems here!
I downloaded the app just fine and have been using it for days. No issues and I LOVE the app!!!! I have heard of Apple having issues on iTunes/App store for days with downloading, which isn’t an app issue it is an Apple issue (Loads of U2 fans couldn’t download their free album last week.) I’d say be patient and keep trying as the app is amazing! If you are a Froud fan you will not want to put this down!!!
Beautiful but falls short of the Frouds' traditional glory
I was hoping for an app that would be a travel companion for the book and tarot cards I already own. This app has such potential, but is no replacement for the three dimensional supplies we love to hold.
You're given two options: "to choose" a card or to let "the fairies choose for you." This application lacks a database of all available cards, and tragically, it is missing the descriptions and inspirations of the fairies, only supplying you with a meditative quote from your fairy.
What would bring this applicant from lovely to useful is a searchable library database of the Frouds' fairies, ideally that support and align with the tarot cards. The ability to save a card is nice, but better would be the ability to save a diary or journal of the thoughts the user had relating to their day or to their fairy reading.
Lastly, we want the beautiful literature from Frouds books to accompany our fairy reading.
Thank you for all the work you've done. I'm looking forward to a later version of this app!
Repetitive, Poor Functionality, Lack of Info
So I’ve received vague messages by the same few faeries the few weeks I’ve been using this app. The function where you can take a picture to choose your faerie has yet to work. There is no information about the faerie who you’ve contacted.
Maybe it’s silly but I do believe in faeries, but this app strikes me as a bs money grab. I knew that could be possible going in, but even then I was still disappointed with the lack of content. I thought at least it might be entertaining but it’s mostly just an add for the guy’s books. An add that you pay for by downloading this app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
