Description

This app uses a self-made algorithm for transforming quadratic trinomials into a product of two binomials. For this, only three variables must be entered. All calculations are stored in the history. The final solution can be shared.

[ Content ]
- the variables for a, b and c must be entered
- transformation of a quadratic trinomial into a product of binomials
- history function to save input
- detailed solution
- positive and negative numbers, decimals are supported
- option to remove ads

[ Usage ]
- there are 3 fields for entering the values using a modified keyboard
- if values are missing, the text fields are highlighted
- you can switch between the solution, input view and history by swiping and / or touching the buttons
- the entries in the history can be deleted or sorted manually
- if you select an entry in the history, it will be loaded automatically for the calculation
- the entire history can be deleted by pressing a button

What’s New

Version 1.31

Some people outside the EEA faced the issue of neverending purchase processes that pop up randomly. This should be fixed now.

It works well

It works well but for certain problems it says no solution when you can still factor it

Developer Response ,

Thank you very much for your feedback! Yeah, there were some problems with the algorithm we had to fix. Next week we will release an update with some good changes. Decimals will be supported too. Kind regards

It doesnt give you answers nor does it help you understand.

Developer Response ,

I am sorry that the usage is not clear enough. This app only provides results when there is a real solution. No "real" solution means that the result would be a complex number. Complex numbers are not supported because there would be an infinite amount of results.

Another limitation is that the result for "B" and "D" are calculated as integers. Otherwise there would be an infinite amount of incomprehensible results.

For a better understanding how the app works try the predefined input example from the history function.

To show that the predefined input example is not a hacky fake, here are some more possible inputs that lead to a result:
a = 8; b = 2; c = -3
a = 1; b = 2; c = 1
a = 1; b = -3; c = -10

But Factoring Quadratic Trinomials follows a self-invented algorithm that usually is not part of common school lectures. Maybe factoring by AC method might be more useful to you:

Good luck!
