Shared Family Calendar: FamCal 4+

There’s just nothing this app doesn’t have. It has all the features you need and still in a very convenient and easy to use design. Been using it for several years now. - We share our calendar across the family and events are color coded. - Adding subscription calendars is very easy. - The Recipe feature is smaaart! Just put the hyperlink for your recipe, and it will clear out all the junk and fluff and organize the recipe in Steps. Just the info you need!! No more scrolling through countless pages and ads to get to the main recipe button. Click a button and all the ingredients are neatly listed in the Shopping list. This is a gem and could be an app bh itself! - The tasks and shopping lists are amazing and you can have multiple shopping lists. - The Birthday Feature is too good. It lets you add all the birthdays, and then on one convenient page, let’s you see who’s birthday is coming up in how many days and how old they’re turning. What an awesome features.

My wife and I tried a few years ago to share calendars and could not find an app that worked for us. My wife found this app and having it has made tracking each other's schedules so much easier. There are only a few things I don't like about the app that may improve with future updates if they choose to incorporate them. 1) Holidays listed: there are some holidays listed that I have never heard of and don't need to see on my calendar. My options are to leave them or turn them all off and manually add in the ones I want which I don't want to have to do. 2) No way to interface with a computer: My work calendar is tied to Outlook on my work computer. It would be nice to have the ability to add items (work or otherwise) to my FamCal calendar from a computer rather than punching it in on my phone. More a minor inconvenience. 3) Status for events: Sometimes it would be nice to note a meeting or possible event without being shown as committed to it. The best way to explain this would be to compare it to the options in Outlook where you can "Show As:" Free, Busy, Tentative. There are times my wife has events on the calendar that she wants to see but isn't actually going or hasn't decided. Other than these minor items we like the app and plan to keep using and recommend it for other families.

I am a 27 year old that was paralyzed 6 years ago. This app is perfect for me and my family because I can add a grocery list so if they are at the store- they can see I need eggs and grab be some without even having to call or text. Which I get so many of those a day it just makes my life easier. There’s also a calendar so no one forgets events (or mom-in-law sees that it’s my fiancé and I’s anniversary and know he’s being cared for even if he doesn’t answer his phone). His mom also loves the memo app where I can add our pictures that I don’t think should go on Facebook, but want family to see. Eliminates group text (as my parents are divorced so I have to send everything separately... but not now!! They can just sign in and see what I’m up to! Everyone can comment - giving my family and fiancés family a chance to get to know each other. It’s fantastic. I wish I could edit and create my own dashboard (editing what shows up first to my liking) which would be a neat idea. But it’s an amazing app exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you.
