**Title: Worst App Experience Ever! 🌟** I wish I could give this app zero stars. Fandango has managed to take everything that should be simple about buying movie tickets and turn it into a nightmare. First off, the app crashes constantly. I can't even search for a movie without the screen freezing up or the app completely closing on its own. When I finally do get it to stay open long enough to browse, the user interface is a confusing mess. Buttons are too small, the text is hard to read, and the layout looks like it was designed by someone who has never actually used an app before. But the worst part? Buying tickets. Oh man, where do I begin? I selected my movie and showtime, but when I tried to choose my seats, the app decided to randomly change my selection to a different theater in another city. Seriously? And when I finally managed to get the right theater and seats, the payment process was a disaster. The app wouldn't accept my perfectly valid credit card, and when I tried using Apple Pay, it just kept loading indefinitely. Don't even get me started on customer service. I reached out for help and got a generic auto-reply that did nothing to solve my problem. By the time I managed to buy my tickets (on the website, not the app), the show was sold out. Save yourself the headache and just go directly to the theater's website or use another service. Fandango's app is a joke, and not the funny kind. 📉
Worst customer service imaginable!
If anything should go wrong with your screening and you need a refund you’ll find it nearly impossible to find the automated chat then it will be even more difficult to get a real human being to chat with. I waited a half hour at Then you can wait 3 to 5 business days for an email that ignores what actually happened.
In short, you don’t matter they don’t care.
Here’s what happened. We were going to two movies and the first one did not start on time because the projector problems. It started about 45 minutes late so we could not watch it and the second film on time.. All we wanted to do was exchange our tickets for a later time. The theater said they couldn’t do this because we purchased through Fandango. Then we fell into the fandango black hole. after going round and round we were told the showing wasn’t canceled so we won’t honor your request. This is insane. This is not right. This is not how you treat people and I don’t care how many good reviews you have if this is the way you’re doing business, it’s going to show through over time.
