FanPlus 12+

Nice app except for the fact that some ads have 2 parts. The second part of those ads requires you to wait until the x appears. I would like for it to have the x be there so that I don’t have to wait for it. An example of of this is the Project Makeover ad. I would change my review if something is done about those ads.

I have maxed out most of the badges and have over 1k days attendance on this app, but I’m considering leaving after the most recent updates.

First, they disincentivised having lots of reliable friends and checking-in on the app regularly by dropping the number of votes you can send/receive daily from 1260 to 210, removed the ability to gain up to 70 friends (now new users can only have 50), and removed the multiplier boosts from both the weekly check-in and shop.

With the most recent update, they’ve overloaded the app with ads. Send votes to friends? An ad plays. Daily attendance check-in? Another ad. To get any useable number of votes you must watch 5 ads every day.

This app isn’t fun anymore, it’s a drag and time consuming in an annoying way. I’ve had to replace about 20 of my friends in the past month, so many are frustrated with the app that they’re quitting. And I’ll probably join them.

They held a competition on Twitter. The rules were stated and the competition began. When the first front runner became obvious, FanPlus changed the rules which resulted in the forerunner’s submission being excluded. That person then came up with a different submission with met all of the new rules. This new submission quickly took the first place position.

Yesterday the winner was announced. Based upon the rules (likes & retweets) the aforementioned new submission was the clear winner by several thousand likes & retweets. However, this submission was not declared the winner. Instead, the winner that was chosen not only had a few hundred likes & retweets, they broke another competition rule by using a copyrighted picture which was edited to remove one person in the picture.

So I ask, how can you declare a winner who clearly lost the popular vote AND broke competition rules?

This app and the people who run it deserve 0 stars, but since that’s not possible, one star it is.
