A little different.
This is two versions of Farkle in one package. Normal Farkle, and Farkle where you can gamble chips and win or lose chips. In normal Farkle, there are 3 “power up” type features, which help make it a little more intersting. In normal farkle, the problem is that you only play against yourself. There is no computer opponent to make things more interesting. I tired of that in about 3 or 4 games. Betting mode is more fun. The problem with betting mode is that after about 5 or 6 games, the dice rolls don’t seem random any longer. And if you run out of chips, you need to buy more. Albeit they are very cheap. Still, it makes me feel like I’ve been duped. Given the cost of the game, and the fact that betting mode is fun, I gave it 4 stars. If you’re looking for plain old farkle with computer opponenets, then this is not for you.
