I just sent a 3 page fax for free. They give you 50 “credits” to start with and each page (note: not fax) costs 1 credit which is a good deal, I guess, considering all you have to do is notify them within the app when you’re out of credits and then apparently the app’s Credit Elf honors your request and they continue to appear via this system until the app’s economy either collapses or becomes our country’s standard form of currency. I guess we’ll have to wait and see...Super easy and convenient. You can even take a picture directly from the app if you don’t want to hassle with importing/exporting (we’re can’t all be Art Vandelay). However, I did export mine from Adobe Scan very easily and the app’s icon was readily available from the “share” menu. The cover letter is a nice touch too because sending a fax without a cover letter makes you look like a communist and I hope you don’t want that because I don’t want that for you. I needed to fax some records to my doctor to schedule surgery and I tried some of the free fax websites but I was limited in the number of pages that I could fax or I had to sign up for a 30-day free trial and give my credit card info (and I always forget to cancel before 30 days is up).I decided to look in the App Store to see if there was an app that I could use and all of them had “purchase in app” or cost to purchase the app and I just wanted was something free and I found it - if you are reading this review, you’ve found it too! I sent a 7’page fax and I kept waiting for something to pop up telling me how much I had to pay but nothing ever did!!! THIS APP IS TOTALLY FREE - and very easy to use!

I decided to try this fax app for a number of reasons, but the deciding factor was because it’s described as free. There is also a written review by aa user about this being totally free to use. The user explains that to begin with, one is provided with 50 free credits. It further explains once one is out of credits, all one needs to do is message the developer and the developer automatically provides additional free credits. Below the user review, there is a reply from the developer confirming that the app and credits are totally free. Well,..... not so much! To begin with, I received 2 free credits ~ NOT 50.... And within the app the only way in which I can receive any additional credits, is if I pay for them. If something has changed since that reviewer’s comment & the developer’s reply, I think the developer should add an addendum to their reply. Especially since that review and reply from the developer is at the top and the first review seen.Additionally, in the developer’s description of the app it states credits can be purchased for .10c per credit. However, that is not the case either. Unless you decide to purchase 500 credits for $50 at .10c per credit, you’ll pay .15c to .50c per credit. It may be relatively economical, I am just very disappointed that the information provided is deceiving Feeling Misled.

Just used this for the first time. It works as described. Nicely designed. Slick and easy interface, and the documents appear to have been delivered. Awesome, for being free, right?...However, should you have to leave the fax app for any purpose (answer a call, the phone turns itself off due to inactivity...), everything you’ve worked to complete (cover page, documents) disappears. Given all the monkey business going on, I do not leave access to Photos open to any app for any longer than necessary. So, as soon as my pics of the documents were added, I went to settings to turn off FaxGun’s access to photos. The entire fax was cleared as a result, and had to start over. Luckily, the documents were still available, so I used the Camera feature in the app instead.
