Wow just bad UI
While I have been just fine getting it to work in English. The user interface (UI) is awful. You get stuck in pages, items don’t load and there’s no back button. The app also doesn’t adjust the top interface for the notch on current iPhone and it’s not user friendly to find other races, timing or camera views.
I’m truly shocked that in 2023 and with the high cost of this service that this company has such a bad app. FIA should be ashamed to publish this quality or lack there of in a app that represents them as a company.
Apple should take this down and require them to provide a fully functional app.
Need to respect orientation of device
I suppose this is the replacement for the FIA WEC app I used to use to watch 24 Hours of Le Mans, but, geez, what a regression. My biggest complaint is that, when not actually watching a live feed, or a replay of the live coverage, the app automatically switches to portrait orientation. I set my iPad up on its stand in landscape mode, which is best for viewing videos, and it’s really annoying that when I need to return to the Home Screen to select the next video, I’m presented with a UI tipped on its side. C’mon, guys, you can do much better than that.
Improvements
Many have criticized this app for poor user interface and lack of things like start times for races. Although I wish there was still a constructors and drivers standings page, most of the issues seem to have been fixed. I have not had the app for more than the day, but the majority of the issues from other reviews seem resolved.
