Fighter Verses: memorize Bible 4+

This is the 4th year I have used this app. It has been wonderful for reviewing Scripture. I love that the verses are set to music as well as the multiple quizzes to aid memory. One of the updates seemed to put the verses in Scripture reference order which is very helpful when reviewing. Two suggestions for improving the app: could the Scripture reference be included with the quizzes? For me that is the hardest part to memorize unless it’s included with the song, which it sometimes is. Also, is there a way in the review section to eliminate multiple review of the same verse to streamline the review section a bit? The only other feature which would probably be a bonus is to add the songs in the app as a way to review so that I could potentially listen through the memory work playlist while doing another activity. Thank you for taking the time to put this app together to aid in memorizing God’s Word! It has been the most successful memory work program I’ve ever used.

Thanks for your encouraging words and suggestions. Good News! We did add a separate quiz in the Review for verses mareked as memorized called Select Matching Reference. So once you've memorized the verses, you can then work on the references. That quiz doesn't count for the reviews since you're not reviewing the content of the verses. The songs are in Sets 1-5 and Extended Set 5 when your Bible Preference is set to ESV. The songs are also on other platforms in case that helps. I have been using this app on and off for a long time. Love it! You not only have access to their collection of key verses, but you can add your own! Once you have a few dozen verses memorized, it can be hard to know when to review, how often, etc. This helps all of that so no scripture falls through the cracks! Not as helpful for longer passages, but those I just add as custom verses, and add in as half-chapter chunks.

I do miss the error tracking that the first letter typing mode had. This mode is super useful for quick and thorough review, but I feel the older way you had it was better, where it would track your errors so as you’re going through you can see your most common mistakes and learn from them. Please bring back if possible!

My name is Josiah Redfearn and I and my family have enjoyed memorizing Fighter Verses for almost a year and have found them to be extremely beneficial for our faith as a family! Pastor John Piper chose five years worth of practical Bible verses from both the Old and New Testaments, one passage each week, and the app cycles through them. It has helpful songs for memorizing and reviews the verses after you memorize them, with options to memorize even longer passages if you think you are up to the task. It is difficult and is certainly a commitment, but it is one that I believe is very important to treasure God’s perfect word in your heart so that you may not sin and may serve Him with a complete heart without wavering.
