File Splitter 4+

I want to split .txt files, which this does. But the extension of output files is different. For example .txt becomes multiple files with ext txt.001, txt.002, txt.003, etc.

These get misidentified as rar files.

Author should change program to rename files as 001.txt, 002.txt, .003.txt

I don’t know if this app is simply malfunctioning and it isn’t actually supposed to work this way, but it isn’t at all user friendly. I am trying to use it to join three large files that were too big to email and it will only allow me to select the first file. It won’t allow me to select the other files to be joined. I tried trashing it and reinstalling it and it still won’t allow me to select any other file besides the first file to be joined. I tried accessing the help function but that was no help. I’m not sure why there isn’t any tutorial or other helpful information that goes along with the download. Maybe you have to be a software engineer to figure this thing out. Also- “File Splitter Support” is a non-functional link. Maybe this App actually works really well and I just can’t figure out how to use it. If that’s the case- I sure wish I knew how!

This is not a program that is made to join two mp3 files. For that you need a Digital Audio Workstation of some sort. I suggest Garageband or Audacity. This program splits files that are too large to upload to file hosts or send via email. This is not crap, it functions just as it should. It's you who is malfunctioning.
