Description

finessTV plays the live stream of a TV receiver.

The TV receiver must be Sat IP (DLNA/UPnP) compatible - like the Fritz!Box Cable Router, FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB‑C or Octopus NET. And must announce a M3U playlist of the available live channels via DLNA/UPnP. The channel playlist with their streaming URLs are then automatically available.
Alternatively, a M3U playlist URL can be specified in the preferences by copying the M3U download link of the receiver. Or by entering the path to a local file in the movies folder (e.g. ~/Movies/HD.m3u).

Please note that incoming connections must be allowed in the firewall settings for finessTV.

After the successful connection/loading of the playlist, the available channels are displayed in a list and the current live stream is displayed in the main window.

Selecting a channel will change the channel in the main window.
The channels can be searched, and resorted by drag and drop. Or the current channel can be moved to the top (for easier reordering of the preferred channels).
The up and down key selects the previous or next channel. And the first 9 channels can be selected by there number.

The current live stream can be recorded.
A double click in the main window toogles the fullscreen display.
Minimizing the main window hides the channel window.
The audio volume can be muted or increased/descreased.
