Fireplace Bluetooth Source Pro 4+

It simply fails to communicate with the fireplace’s Bluetooth. You have to kill it and relaunch it every time you press any button, it got stuck and go dead. There’s nothing you can do but to kill the app and then relaunch it again. Then it connects to the Bluetooth and lets you press one more button and then dies and lost the Bluetooth connection forever until you kill it again and relaunch it. It’s insane and frustrating. Basically it’s useless. It saves your sanity by using the remote control instead. What a piece of junk app. Have they ever tested it or used it themselves?

It works! My husband and I were having trouble at first. It kept saying it couldn’t connect. So we followed the instructions from The Mighty Cuban a dozen or so comments from bottom, and it worked! For both our phones! We both have iPhones. You have to unplug the unit, press and hold the power button on unit for 10 seconds. Then plug unit back in, and go back to app and it will connect. Pretty much instantly. Just scroll down and find his instructions. It’s awesome! Enjoying our fireplace from the comfort of our couch all way across the room!

The “help” tooltips lock you out of clicking anything in the app. If you restart the app and go QUICK you can maybe tap a button before it pops up again and stops you. With enough perserverence it might eventually let me control my fireplace but I haven’t got there yet. Oh and with enough times of opening the app and trying to get it to work, the bluetooth stops working on your fireplace and you have to unplug it and replug it again to try some more.
