More than just an app for kids with ASD!

Thank you so much for providing such a useful app! I downloaded this for my parents who are both new to the english language and they love using it. They've tried learning from books and from watching videos but nothing really stuck. They like that this app is easy to use and it's very interactive. I highly recommend watching the tutorial first before using the program. All the questions we initially had were answered in the tutorial video. Overall, this is a great app :)

Very useful. Noticing just a couple if things....

This is a super app that is getting a response from my severely asd 5 year old. Cannot thank you enough for that!!

Two questions. We are on the first level, but there's no "give" on sliding the pic up. My son who can do very little at this time is actually able to properly match, but there's no setting to let me adjust how close the match can be. He can't get it dead on, but it is close enough to be exactly right, that is frustrating to him. That stinks because he can actually do this!! Just need to be able to have a little wiggle room with matches.

There are no sounds??thats fine, just curious.

Thank you for the app!!

A game changer for special education

This app is a fantastic tool for teaching any child who needs a little extra help learning the first 500 basic nouns. I work specifically with nonverbal kids with autism who are considered "severe" and I already see big improvements after using this app. I was one of the original beta testers so I've been using this app for a few months now.
First of all, the app is very clear. The instructions are easy to understand and it visually makes sense. Each picture clearly shows the nouns without any distracting background that confuse our kids. I love the fact that there is no sound; I've tried other apps with sound but the kids just stimmed to the noise and it was hard to get them to concentrate. There is no guessing if your child understands, the results are clear and immediate.
In the beginning, it can be a little overwhelming with the ability to learn 500 words, however it was easy to narrow down the list and focus on certain words at a time. I recommend toggling with the settings in order to figure out which level your child is at in order to make it not too easy, but not too difficult either. Once I figured out the right number of words (23 and counting!) and the correct level (we are at level 5 for matching and level 7 for typing!), I immediately saw progress.
This is not an app for your child to play with; this is an app to teach your child to recognize words and type independently. If you take it seriously, you will see progress. Be ready to sit with your child and bond! The most rewarding feeling is when you see your child understand. It may take time, but it is worth every second.
