UPDATEAfter using the app, to be fair, this is more about Fish RULES. In that regard, this app does the job very well. It’s in fact probably the best out there. Fish ID is not really a prominent feature (just for now, hope.) 1-star upgraded to 4.I bought a 1-year subscription because I thought the fish identification feature would work very well with the rules on species limits. It turns out you may get a response to your photo 49 hours later (maybe) in your email. Needless to say, it won’t help you if a warden comes along. I promptly cancelled my subscription, but I’m stuck with this app for the remaof the year.

Most of us have been there in a predicament when we catch a fish that we KNOW will be excellent fare for the table, and a memory to live out for years to come. I know I’ve been there, and the only regulations aid I had, was the proverbial folding measurement stick. No knowledge of open/closed seasons, legal harvest methods. Fish Rules has taken the guess work out of it, and brought it all to my fingertips. We’ve all heard that same line over and over, “You need a lawyer to go on the boat with you, to know the regulations”. Well, I now feel like I’ve got that lawyer with me. Now I return to the ramp with confidence knowing that, when the agency in question are conducting a fish box check, I don’t have to second guess myself if I have possibly violated local closure for harvest, or seasonal restrictions. I love this App, hands down.

While fishing out of town, in an unfamiliar area, we pulled up to a great looking spot and landed / released a fish within minutes. I launched the app to look up the species and noticed we were fishing in a restricted area (Red Warning message across the top of the screen) not indicated on GPS as such. We quickly pulled up our gear and moved on, passing Law Enforcement just moments later. I absolutely love this app. Great, location based, fishing regulations reference, on or off the water. This is a must have app for ALL fisherman, novice and expert alike.

I installed this app because a friend highly recommended it and spoke very well about it. At first, I was excited to try it out. However, my experience has been nothing but frustrating.I tried to log in through Gmail and followed all the instructions. According to the FAQs, I needed to enable two-factor authentication, which I already have. I even tried registering with my regular email, and while I was able to create the account successfully, I simply cannot log in on the iS app. I'm using an iPhone, and no matter what I do, it just won't let me in.I reached out to support by email, created a ticket, and even sent them screenshots and videos explaining the issue. Up until now, I haven't received a single response. It really feels like unless you pay for a membership, a subscription, or some other service, they just ignore you completely.The app itself seems to provide good information, but what's the point if I can't even unlock its potential because I'm not able to log in? Honestly, this has been a very disappointing experience.
